		<description>I love Wamu.... Like the previous commenter, I also took advantage of the 5% online savings account... unfortunately, it recently fell to 4.5%. Kind of a bummer. They were also offering a 6 month 5.25% cd (not sure if that's still offered or not) but I jumped on that one also..

I do love the free checks for life even though I don't write many checks, I don't want to pay for them either :) I'm in California also.... it's just really a convenient bank..

		<description>When I found out about WaMu's 5% on-line savings account which has to be connected to a free checking, I had to close my existing checking account and open another one online in order to sign up for the savings account. It's a bit of a hassle but the rate sure beats ING.</description>
